Asphalt Resurfacing

If your asphalt is worn, cracked and gray, but the ground under it is still solid, you don't need to start over. Resurfacing bonds a fresh lift of hot mix over the existing pavement, giving you a brand-new surface for roughly half of what a tear-out-and-repave costs.

The honest part of resurfacing is knowing when it works and when it doesn't. We repair failed spots first, tack the old surface so the new lift bonds, and lay the overlay with the same paver-and-roller standard as new construction. If your pavement is too far gone for an overlay to last, we'll tell you that too.

What's included

• Evaluation of what's surface wear vs. base failure
• Full-depth repair of failed areas before overlay
• Edge milling or feathering at doors, drains and tie-ins
• Tack coat so the new lift bonds to the old
• 1.5–2" hot-mix overlay, paved and rolled to spec
• Transitions blended smooth to concrete and road

• Widespread surface cracking, but a firm base
• Faded, rough asphalt 10–20 years old
• Drives and lots with scattered patches that all show
• Private roads worn down the wheel paths
• Properties prepping to sell or re-lease
